The ICCO – Indian Chamber of Content Owners is created with the following objectives in mind:
To encourage trade generally, and in particular to encourage, safeguard, and watch over the interests of the Indian Film Industry and associated industries and trades, including those of film producers, distributors, and exhibitors, as well as all other individuals connected to the industry.
To regulate these individuals’ methods of conducting business. To establish just and equitable principles in the film industry. To maintain uniformity in the rules, regulations, and usages of the industry and to establish or pass laws and rules governing the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry, or any branch or subject related to it.
To consider and offer advice on all issues relating to the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry, with a focus on adopting measures to address any challenges faced by people working in the many facets of the business.
To uphold and safeguard the reputation, standing, and interests of the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry and all those involved in it.
To encourage honorable conduct, to combat malpractice, to resolve issues of contention regarding conduct, and to resolve any disputes between or among those involved in the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry over professional conduct, business etiquette including copy right infringement.
To take into account all issues affecting the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry’s interests and, if required, to petition legislators or support deputations in regard to general measures affecting the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry in order to secure amendments to the legislation or to practice as well as the promotion of better principles.
To take any necessary action to advance, support, or oppose legislative or governmental action affecting the financial interests of the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry and people working in it.
To encourage groups and individuals in the film, television, OTT and the entire media industry and related professions to take collective action.
Promoting the Movies and all sorts of Content.
To increase awareness of the Film, Television, OTT and the entire Media Industry, both in India and internationally.

To protect, uphold, expand, and clarify the rights of the ICCO members as well as to secure for them particular benefits and concessions wherever and whenever possible.

To promote the development of goodwill and collaboration between members and those working in the Indian film, television, OTT and the entire media industry, especially between those working in India and those working overseas.
